The Teddy Bear sat beneath the Christmas tree,
Waiting patiently for morning to arrive.
He knew the little one who would be his
Would make his little heart become alive.
He smiled at thought of being hugged.
He shivered now with much delight.
To have a child’s arms around his body..
He could hardly wait through the night.
And on the morning of Christmas Day
As the children squealed with pure joy,
The Teddy Bear smiled brighter now
For he was a very happy new toy.
