Looking over the pattern

Published by Rosie at 6:11 pm under Teddy bears

Today I sat down and read over the pattern I will be using. This one is for a jointed bear. I will need to find the parts necessary to make this teddy jointed. While the pattern doesn’t look too complicated, I do realize this will not be an easy project to do. It will take time to make this bear, but I am hoping he will turn out like I want him to do.

I will have to find a source where I can get the cotter pins, hardboard circles, and washers I will need. I can check the local craft shop, but I am not quite sure if they will have what I need. I have the material, but will also need a heavy duty thread for the mouth. I was very surprised to read in the pattern booklet about the material. If I use a fake fur I will need to trim the edges so the fur won’t be a problem while sewing. I am eager to begin this project, but this will be an undertaking that will require time to do  properly.
