The making of a teddy bear, part 3
I got some advise on fake fur. I was told some of it stretches. This would result in a “distorted” teddy bear. Now we can’t have that, can we? I did buy some purple material with hearts imbedded in it, just gorgeous. This is a fleecy kind of super soft material which I thought would make a really cute bear for Brittny. Purple is her favorite color and it will be nice and fluffy for her.
All I need now is the time to cut this pattern out and begin to sew it. Oh, I was also told embroidering a nose doesn’t work very well since the stitches tend to come out a few times after the bear’s nose is pulled. Ouch! Poor bear! I have some black felt to use for the nose since the pattern calls for that. I also found some “safety” eyes to use. This particular bear won’t be jointed since I am having a problem finding the things I need locally. I will need to order the joints online, but can’t do that as yet. Hopefully soon so I can do another bear after the purple one.
