Cutting out the pattern
I got this far tonight, only to discover I forgot to buy material for the sole. So, a short trip to the fabric store is needed. I will do that this week yet and get at the sewing of the bear. Brittny’s birthday bear, to be precise! The material was easy enough to cut out and I hope will be easy to work with. I did find myself jabbing my thumb with a pin! Ouch! But a quick dash to the bathroom to wash off the blood worked. I didn’t get any on the material. Somehow I always seem to find myself doing something like that when I am sewing or cutting out a pattern.
The Simplicity pattern I have is one that has a jacket or vest and a hat. For this bear I don’t know if I will make either. Brittny is too young to want to change bear clothing. I think this one might just be a “naked” bear. Perhaps the next one will have the clothing with it. We shall see how this one goes!
