My personal Teddy

Published by under Teddy bears

For Christmas Alex bought me a teddy bear wearing a cute backpack which contained a jewelry box that held the necklace that matches the ring he gave me last Christmas. This teddy bear is so adorable, comes with a scarf that says YOU ARE LOVED. The jewelry store that sold this told me the bears practically flew out of the store. So many people thought this was a nice way to present a gift. I totally agree. So now he sits on the bed every day, a wonderful reminder that Alex loves me and wanted to make me happy for Christmas.

And good news…the trigger finger has been fixed and I can once again begin working on bears. I have two to make, maybe 3, for Christmas this year. Since it’s already March, I should get busy!

Teddy Bear Poem

Published by under Teddy bears

The Teddy Bear sat beneath the Christmas tree,

Waiting patiently for morning to arrive.

He knew the little one who would be his

Would make his little heart become alive.

He smiled at thought of being hugged.

He shivered now with much delight.

To have a child’s arms around his body..

He could hardly wait through the night.

And on the morning of Christmas Day

As the children squealed with pure joy,

The Teddy Bear smiled brighter now

For he was a very happy new toy.

A Lost Teddy

Published by under Teddy bears

What can you do if your child has lost his or her teddy bear? Replacing their old beloved bear can’t be that easy. Children cannot be fooled if a new bear is suddenly there when they know the old one so well. The best thing to do is to call the store or other place where you can remember your child having the teddy bear. If your child is too upset, perhaps it would be best to go shopping for a new bear, explaining that more care needs to be taken with a new bear so it won’t be lost like the old one. Most children will be accepting of this, but there may be a child who won’t be too happy. Hopefully someone will turn the bear into the lost and found so child and bear can be reunited. Letting the child pick out a new bear will make that bear special. It’s best not to make a big deal of the child losing the bear. It’s like losing your best friend. Hugs and reassurance that another teddy can be had will make things better.
